KRILLPODYM modelled estimates of Antarctic krill circumpolar distribution [Data set]. Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies. https://doi.org/10.25959/895K-K978 ### Processing steps 1. Download .nc files from https://doi.org/10.25959/895K-K978 and file in cwd/input 2. Run 02_extract_seasonal_means.py * Read all krill_biomass_*.nc files from input/ * Sums all weekly snapshots for: - SUMMER for YOUNG LARVAE (spawning occurs in summer) - AUTUMN for FREE LARVAE (young larvae have matured to free larvae) - WINTER for LATE LARVAE (young larvae are now late larvae) - SPRING for JUVENILES (juveniles are no longer in larval stage) - SUMMER for ADULTS (juveniles have matured to adults) * Reprojects each seasonal stage from EPSG:4326 to EPSG:3031 (bilinear resampling) * Stack the five seasonal stages into krill_biomass_seasonal_stages.tif * Adds band descriptions for each seasonal life stage * Sums juvenile biomass, and adult biomass, across all input months * Combines juvenile and adult biomass to create krill_postlarval_biomass_combined.tif * Set NoData to -9999 and writes outputs as DEFLATE-compressed Cloud Optimised GeoTIFFs in output/
